BIOGRAPHY
Elias Uribe is a
drummer, clinician, video blogger, educator, producer, musician and composer. Elias
Uribe was born in Tlalnepantla, Mexico on 3rd August, 1999. He comes
from a musician´s family, his father was a pianist. Elias started playing at
his home using owls and pans as a drum kit. Elias grew on a Christian family
who went to the church, and he saw to the worship team´s drummer, Misael
Barrera playing. When Elias came to the church´s drum kit, he started to play, and
Barrera gave him his first pair of drumsticks. After that, Elias´ parents
bought him his first drum kit. Later, Elias Uribe took drum lessons with Misael
Barrera, who became one of the best drummers of Mexico, David Ramirez
(ex-drummer of Conquistando Fronteras) and Sergio Tapia (drummer of Lux) at
Conquistando Artes. He graduated from Conquistando Artes music school and he
started to play at many ensembles and bands such as The X-Points Band and The Kermit’s
Redpoles. He took ensemble lessons with musicians like Abraham Calderón, Gulli
Briem (drummer of Mezzoforte) and Mike Mejía. He started to play other musical
instruments that achieved a great increase on his musical vocabulary. Elias
Uribe plays bass, guitar, ukulele, keyboards, drums and percussion. Elias Uribe
is active on YouTube, where he started an education project called “Drummers y
Bateristas Videoblogs,” that is starting and has the goal of have thousands of subscribers.
Elias Uribe is an educator and clinician. He shares all his journeys on his
YouTube´s channel. Elias Uribe was writing drum lessons and drum articles on
Sabian Education Network. Elias Uribe recorded two albums which are available
on SoundCloud and soon on Spotify, “When Your Dreams Become Real” and
“Sunlight.” Elias Uribe is giving drum clinics and concerts every Saturday. Elias
Uribe participated on a drum orchestra at the event “Un Millón Para Jesús,”
playing drums at Monumento a la Revolución and Estadio Azteca (the biggest
stadium of Mexico.) He played with artists like Conquistando Fronteras and
Miguel Cassina.
He won 2 times the drummer title of the year at his high school
